• Able to use information in a right way to accomplished his or her assignments
• Able to understand the economic, legal and also social surroundings
Information literacy competency, standards for higher education
1. It provides a framework for assessing information literate individual the assessment can be done by lecturer
2. They provide individual with a frame work for gaining control over how they interact with information in their environment
3. People understand information in different levels so this framework helps on standardization
4. The standards list the arrange of outcomes for assessing students’ progress to words information literate.
5. These outcomes serve as the guideline for faculty, Librarians and others in developing local methods for measuring students

Information literate person should be able to determine nature and extent of information that is needed, because not every information is necessary.
Information literate person should be able to access the right information at the right time to complete the specific task, effectively and efficiently.
The information literate students evaluate information and its sources critically incorporates selected information on his knowledgebase.
Information literate personal should be able to use information in a right way to complete specific task.
Information literate person should be able to understand issue of legal, economic and also social surrounding on his environment.
